Step 1
First we’ll make a new Photoshop document (2300 x 3450 pixels with 300ppi). Using the Pen Tool carefully cut out the girl photo from the Stockxpert photograph, and then drag and drop the girl into the new document we’ve just created.
Step 2
Burn the edges of the girl a little bit using the burn tool, make sure you don’t burn too much of the image, just make it soft so that it looks only a little darker.
Step 3
Drag the texture layer onto the document and place it below the girl. With the texture layer selected Press (Ctrl u) to open up the Hue/Saturation window, set the Hue level to -175 and the Saturation level to +26. To make it blend a little bit better with the girl we’ll make some changes some to the Levels, so Press (Ctrl L) to open up the levels window and changes the middle box to 0,63.
Step 4
Ok, lets fuse the girl more with the background, on the girl layer Press (Ctrl U) again for Hue and Saturation window. Set the Saturation box to -25 so that it makes for a little bit more contrast with the background.
Step 5
Take the Abstract Piece and drag it on top of the texture and move it too the left of the girl. Press (Ctrl U) to open up the Saturation window and set the Saturation to -68. Duplicate the layer, select Edit - Transform - Flip Horizontally and move the new duplicated layer to right of the girl. Merge the 2 layers together and again use the burn tool to refine the shadows around the edges of the girl like we did in Step 2.
Step 6
For extra effects duplicate the abstract layer from the previous step, rescale and put it over the girl layer. Take the new duplicated layer move it into the corner and give it a Gaussian Blur of radio 8,0. Finally for the finish if you want you can duplicate the render one more time and it put over the image.

Nice tutorial.
But what interests me more is the abstract .png you’ve added.
Are there some tutorials which introduce the techniques for creating the abstract stuff.
